This Eid Al Adha MASTUL Foundation sacrificed 35 cows and 20 goats in Dhaka. All the sacrificial meat went to underprivileged families. The distribution took place in Jhawchar and Bhoraikhai on Eid day and the day after Eid. There were around 4500 beneficiary families and each family received around 1kg of meat. The beneficiaries were from areas including Tali Officer, Rayer Bazar, Bhoraikhali, Kamrangichor, Gozmohol, and Mohammadpur.
MASTUL also sacrificed 3 goats and 6 cows outside of Dhaka. The distribution took place in 6 districts including Bhramanbaria, Cox’s Bazar, Hobigonge, Rangpur, Feni, and Gazipur. There were around 60 beneficiary families per district. Some of the volunteers of MASTUL even went on to cook the meat for the people of Rangpur.
Overall, the Eid celebration went well. The children at the MASTUL school and orphanage were delighted on this special day and good food went all around the underprivileged communities whose children come to study at MASTUL Free school. MASTUL thanks all the donors who made the mass distribution of Eid meat possible.
