MASTUL foundation holds Zakat conference-2025

MASTUL Foundation, in collaboration with Al Zakat Sadaqah Foundation, successfully organized the Zakat Conference 2025, a full-day event held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.
MASTUL Foundation and Al Zakat Sadaqah Foundation have once again jointly organized a day-long Zakat Conference 2025, divided into three insightful sessions. The event brought together renowned Islamic scholars from around the world, government officials, social workers, representatives from private organizations, development experts, academicians, doctors, donors, and well-wishers of MASTUL Foundation.
The primary objective of Zakat Conference 2025 is to explore how Zakat can drive social development and eradicate poverty. For the past six years, MASTUL Foundation has been relentlessly working on this cause, aiming to highlight the effectiveness of Zakat in poverty alleviation and humanitarian development.
The role and impact of Zakat in reducing poverty and fostering economic empowerment, Raising awareness about the importance and obligations of Zakat,Creating employment opportunities through structured Zakat initiatives,Proper calculation and distribution of Zakat for maximum social benefit, Modern applications of Zakat in today’s economic landscape.Ensuring transparency and accountability in Zakat collection and distribution.
This conference serves as a crucial platform to promote the correct practice and expansion of Zakat, ultimately ensuring that it reaches those in need in the most impactful way. The Zakat Conference 2025 was graced by the presence of esteemed speakers and distinguished guests, including: Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Md. The Secretary of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Md. Saidur Rahman, in his speech, said, Just as Zakat can help eliminate poverty, it is also a powerful tool in establishing health and well-being for humanity. MASTUL Foundation has been dedicated to humanitarian work since the time of the pandemic, which is truly commendable.
Professor Dr. Golam Nabi Sir, in his speech, said, To my knowledge, there are a few organizations in our country working with Zakat. If we collaborate with them, not only will your Zakat be fulfilled, but we can also play an important role in building society. If we all come together and work socially, we can contribute to the real transformation of society. Khateeb Shaykh Ali Hasan Tayyeb said, Those who regularly pay Zakat, Allah protects their wealth from calamities and increases their wealth through the distribution of Zakat. MASTUL Foundation has been using the Zakat fund for a long time to help the poor and has been spending it correctly throughout the year. The Founder and Executive Director of Mastul Foundation, Kazi Riaz Rahman, said, The main goal of the Zakat Conference is to raise awareness among people about the importance of Zakat and its proper implementation. InshaAllah, through this noble work, we will always be committed to inspiring and increasing awareness of Zakat among everyone. Let us all come together and extend a helping hand to the underprivileged in society. The partner organizations of this conference included Al Zakat Sadaqah Foundation, Center for Zakat Management, Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Social Islami Bank, Al Menarat Tour & Travels, Ready Bangladesh, and many others.
It should be noted that MASTUL Foundation’s multifaceted social service activities include its own school, madrasa, orphanage and old age home where more than a hundred parentless orphans/orphaned students and the elderly live. Apart from this, more than a thousand underprivileged talented students are being provided health, nutritious food, child rights and basic needs in project schools in some districts.
Besides, to stand by the people of the country in the medical sector, through the ‘MASTUL Aid’ project, more than half a hundred disabled crippled patients injured in road accidents are being supported with wheelchairs and prosthetic legs along with medical services. MASTUL Foundation has sewing training centers, computer training centers through which the underprivileged population is being empowered.
Apart from this, more than 1000 people have been made self-reliant through the Zakat self-reliance project. MASTUL’’s main work is the burial-burial service project, through which more than 3000 bodies have been buried since the start of the corona. There is MASTUL Mehmankhana, from where hundreds of helpless low-income people are fed in one day.
