In 2022 a devastating flood attacked over Sunamganj and Shylet areas. This flood crossed all the previous records with unbearable suffering. Therefore, several people died and a number of families became homeless.
Especially, Goarchara was of the worst affected areas. No single house was usable to live in. The most heartbroken scenario was that the Jame Mosque of Goarchara was totally damaged. Muslims in that area face trouble performing their prayers.
At that crucial time, the MASTUL Foundation takes an initiative to rebuild this affected mosque.
When they take this initiative, a huge number of well-wishers of the MASTUL Foundation landed their helping hands from all over Bangladesh. Almost 300000 Taka has been collected to rebuild this mosque. Apart from this, people also donated constructive materials like tins, shades, cement, bamboo, etc.
Initially, MASTUL Foundation build a temporary mosque beside the main project. And the main project has almost finished. Very soon the Muslims of Goarchara will perform their prayers to this rebuilt mosque.
