Reputed welfare organization Retired Customs Officers Welfare Association (RICOWA) has come forward to build houses for flood-effected displaced people by donating to MASTUL’s Rehabilitation and Self-Reliance Project In Sylhet.
On Wednesday (July 27) at the South Sunamganj Upazila office, MASTUL Foundation’s post-disaster management project called ‘Emergency Flood Damage Rehabilitation and Livelihoods for Flood Victims’ in Sylhet Region’ officially started to help half a hundred flood-effected displaced families with house building materials. MASTUL Foundation has aimed for the construction of 1000 houses, 50 tubewells, and 50 toilets, and to make 2000 people self-reliant through this project. MASTUL also plans to hold awareness events to assess the importance of disaster management, restore the damaged social resources, and pay attention to improving the flood response system of Sylhet. Thus, Sylhet can stop that chaos and won’t fall victim to a flood in the future…
Thanks to the organization Retired Customs Officers Welfare Association for standing by the flood-affected people. With this help, we can bring the homeless people home again.
